A carer is someone who provides unpaid care and support to a family member or friend who has a disability, medical condition (including terminal or chronic illness), mental illness, or is frail due to age.
Carers are not paid for their caring role (they are distinct from paid care / support workers), and the amount or type of care provided can vary from occasional help to full-time support.
We understand the compliance requirements of large organisations and are always ready to provide up-to-date qualifications, insurance certificates, and policy documents. All members of our team and external contractors, including therapists and facilitators, hold relevant professional qualifications and insurance, ensuring your organisation’s standards and obligations are fully met.
Carer Escapes is committed to meeting the ACNC Governance Standards, which are a set of core minimum standards that all registered charities in Australia must follow. These standards ensure that we remain charitable, operate lawfully, and are run in an accountable and responsible way. By complying with these standards, we help maintain public trust and support the ongoing success of our charitable work.

Carer Escapes is committed to transparency and accountability in all our operations. As a newly registered not-for-profit, we will begin trading on 1 July 2025. Our first annual reports and financial statements will be published in accordance with ACNC requirements after our first full year of operation. We look forward to sharing our progress and impact with our community.
Carer Escapes values open and meaningful engagement with all our stakeholders, including carers, partner organisations, funders, and community members. We actively seek feedback, encourage collaboration, and foster strong relationships to ensure our programs remain relevant, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of the carer community.
Carer Escapes is committed to operating with integrity and in full compliance with all relevant Australian laws, regulations, and sector standards. We regularly review our policies and procedures to ensure our organisation remains accountable, transparent, and meets all legal and regulatory obligations.
Carer Escapes is a not-for-profit organisation. This means all income and assets are used solely to further our charitable purposes and support carers. If Carer Escapes is ever wound up, any remaining assets will be distributed to another registered charity with similar aims, ensuring ongoing benefit to the carer community and compliance with Australian law.
